90 days no initimacy

Valpolicella, IT

2020

“90 Days No Intimacy” is a short series created as a visual exploration of human connection following the isolation imposed by the first COVID-19 lockdown.

Prompted by the questions “Can we be intimate again?” and “How do we allow vicinity and touch?”, the series comprises four self-portraits with individuals the artist had never met.

Each portrait in the series represents a deliberate act of closeness— the subjects’ first interaction with one another.

This endeavor not only challenges the boundaries of personal space and connection but also serves as a reflection on the inherent human need for intimacy and touch.

'90 Days No Intimacy' comprises four compelling self-portraits following the isolation imposed by the first COVID-19 lockdown.
