The small series captures one of the fervent protests in Lyon, France, in November 2020, against the controversial “sécurité globale” law.
This legislation, among other provisions, restricted civilians from publicly sharing videos of police actions. The photos document the public outcry and the intense moments of demonstrations where citizens voiced their defiance and concern for civil liberties.
The law for “global security preserving liberties” was eventually adopted on Thursday 15 April 2021.
